Branch of the Year Award
Presented to the Branch that has excelled in membership, programmatic activities, participated in the Mother of the Year, the Humanitarian Awards Dinner, and state, regional, and national civil rights events.

Presented to the Branch President who has excelled as a spokesperson for civil rights, shown leadership in increasing membership, participated in State Conference events, and demonstrated local community leadership.

Romallus O. Murphy Legal Advocacy Award
Honors the legacy of Romallus O. Murphy, awarded to a lawyer or legal advocate exemplifying civil rights, social justice, and community empowerment.

Resolutions

A resolution submitted to the Resolutions Committee of the Annual State Convention is a formal request of the NAACP NC State Conference to change or amend programs or policies, or to establish new policies. The resolution should be written clearly, concisely, and specifically, and approved by a majority vote of the sponsoring Unit.

Resolutions must be signed by the Unit President and Unit Secretary and transmitted to the Executive Director (Mr. Da’Quan Love) via this form at the State office by 5:00 PM ET on Thursday, September 25, 2025, to be considered by the Resolutions Committee.
